Oscar for animals

Whether you know that … That there is an analogue of the award "Oscar", for animals? And it exists, but the information on it has not enough. From this that it was possible to extract in a network, we have made this small sketch.

American Humane Association

The award "Petsi" (Patsy Award) has been based in 1939, its founder became Hollywood to Association on protection of honour of animals-actors (American Humane Association - AHA). The decision, on creation of the given award, has come to to them mind after accident on shootings of a film "Dzhessi James" (Jesse James). Then on a set the horse who performed in this film was lost. Thus, the Association honours memory of an animal. The award name «Patsy» consists of capital letters: Picture Animal Top Star of the Year.

The award "Petsi" covers both cinematography, and television. The award is handed over on four categories: a dog, a horse, a wild and special category. The special category includes goats, cats, pigs and etc. So, epidemic parotitis Arnold Ziffel (Arnold Ziffel)

And speaking mule Frensis (Francis), in 1951 became the very first winner of the Award "Petsi".

Awards, anyhow, were handed over to trainers of animals – winners. So trainer Frank In (Frank Inn) became the happy owner more than 40 awards of "Petsi", thanking its work with a pig Arnold («Green open spaces»), a cat of Orandzhi («the Breakfast at Tiffani»), a dog Higgins ("Dog") and a dog of Kleo. The bean of Barker (Bob Barker) became the receiver of awards of "Petsi", but finally has retired, making to the protest to the cruel methods, which some trainers use, when prepare animals for films.
